Save the Last Word Discussion Protocol

Form groups of 3-4. Individually, each person reads the article or passage, and selects 2 to 3 quotes that particularly caught their attention

Round 1: The first person in the group reads his/her quote aloud without commenting on it. Each person in the group, one at a time, has one minute to comment on the quote - whether they agree or disagree with the quote or if it makes them think of something related. At the end of the round, the initial person has two minutes to respond to the comments, including why s/he selected the quote. This is the last word!

Subsequent Rounds: Repeat the process for each group member.
